Version 18.5


Hello again,

It is time once again for an Illic patch. The focus for this patch was “what is missing.” I didn’t want to be ambitious, instead I just wanted to add a few small things that would add value to the game. Of course then I couldn’t help myself but want to update Emilia’s sprite again. She was one of the first characters to get an updated design, but with the improvements to my art and help from my brother with new designs she fell behind. That’s okay though - I think her new design matches her home town being the Onyx City in the scorching deserts  better. Then of course I couldn’t help but adjust some levels and from there I found some glitches so it turns out the patch is a lot bigger than expected.

Without further ado here are the patch notes.

Characters

  • Updated Emilia’s portrait
  • Updated Emilia’s model
  • Updated Emilia’s chibi

Maps

  • Added in dialogue for the Queen to tell new players how to end a turn if she can’t reach an enemy in ”Attack.”.
  • Updated dialogue condition for Queen in map “Move”.
  • Map Parry Attack now allows free deployment.
  • Updated tip for Parry Attack.
  • Map Parry Defence now allows free deployment.
  • Updated tip for Parry Defence.
  • Map Balance now has fixed units, but not levels.

Abilities

  • Bond Blade now checks whether the user is actually adjacent to an ally unit before granting its bonus effect.

Threat Display

  • Tiles at the edges of threat ranges now have a slightly different colour depending on the unit’s team.
  • Tiles which both player and enemy units can move are now displayed purple.

Experience Display

  • Shows which units received experience at the end of a map.
  • Experience bar fills and then empties when levelling (instead of emptying to the new value.)
  • Shows a message if no units received experience at the end of a map.

Glitches

  • Adjusted unit AI.
  • Fixed a glitch where under some circumstances a null reference prevented agents from taking actions.
  • Fixed a glitch where health bar tooltips did not display.
  • Fixed a glitch where health bar tooltips displayed incorrectly.
  • Fixed a typo in health bar tooltips.
  • Fixed a glitch where experience bar tooltips displayed incorrectly.
  • Fixed a glitch where charge bar tooltips did not display.
  • Fixed a glitch where charge bar tooltips displayed incorrectly.
  • Fixed a glitch where experience bar health colour was incorrectly set
  • Fixed a glitch where if the experience was exactly 100 the experience bar would be full.
  • Fixed a glitch where undoing a unit’s movement after they had been a target of a movement skill would return them to the square they started their turn in.
  • Fixed a glitch where a unit would try to perform combat in another unit’s square.
  • Change ability control is no longer visible when using a movement skill.
